From Wednesday to Thursday, 2,198 new cases were registered. Compared to the previous week (2,356), this is a decrease of 158 cases.
The 7-day incidence thus drops to 163.12. In addition, 14 new Covid-related deaths were reported in the past 24 hours.
Since yesterday, however, current case counts are no longer to be used as the main gauge for action on the pandemic. What counts from now on is rather the occupancy in the intensive care units. There are currently 202 intensive care patients. That is four more than on Wednesday. In normal wards, 822 patients are currently being treated, with a minus of three patients.
